Richard Hurford Receives High Honors from His Peers

Richard Hurford, president and founder of Richard Hurford Dispute Resolution Services, was recently recognized for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the legal profession.

In June, the Macomb County Bar Association presented Richard with its Special Service Award for 2014.  In addition to his ongoing support and leadership, the award recognizes Richard’s work on “ADR Taxonomy for the Courts,” a helpful guide to understanding ADR options, procedures, and benefits that has become a go-to resource for both attorneys and judges throughout Michigan.

At its annual meeting on October 18, 2014, the State Bar of Michigan’s ADR Section presented Richard with its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of dispute resolution.

Lastly, two organizations – DBusiness Magazine and Best Lawyers – have selected Richard as a leading attorney in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, based on nominations, recommendations, and votes by fellow lawyers.
